Kathy Webster, MD
Dr. Kathleen Webster practices Pediatric Critical Care and is Medical Director of Pediatric Telehealth at Advocate Children’s Hospital, Oak Lawn, IL. She holds an MD from the University
of Louisville, KY, and an MBA from the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA. Her training includes a pediatric residency at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St Louis, MO., and fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Harbor UCLA Medical Center, Los Angeles, CA.
Dr. Webster has over 15 years of experience with telemedicine, is the immediate past chair of the Pediatric SIG of the American Telemedicine Association and currently leads the Complex Care research interest group for the telemedicine research group SPROUT (Supporting Pediatric Research on the Outcomes and Utilization of Telehealth). She has served as guest editor of Pediatric Annals for a single subject issue on telehealth, and has contributed to the American Academy of Pediatrics Technical Report on Telehealth as well as the American Telemedicine Association Primary and Urgent Care Guidelines and Pediatric Operating Procedures for telehealth. She recently authored a chapter “Telehealth in Children with Special Needs” for the textbook Understanding Telehealth.
